#GREENTOGIVE TEAM SITE

CREATING 1 MILLION CHARITY FUNDRAISING MICRO-EVENTS GLOBALLY

Help kickstart a movement to run 1,000,000 charity fundraising micro- events across 5,000 cities and towns globally, in response to Covid-19.

GreenToGive will initially pilot in Cork and Ballina, to experiment and learn what works best, and is looking for volunteer coordinators to help make this happen.

Volunteer micro-event organisers are also needed, to create & run events raising even €30 each (or much more!) for charities including Focus Ireland (homelessness) and Jigsaw (teen mental health).

WHAT IS #GREENTOGIVE
IRISH-LED LOCAL FUNDRAISING GOES GLOBAL

Covid-19 has disrupted lives and decimated charity incomes everywhere, while skyrocketing demands on charity services.

Orchestrated by the Global Irish in response to Covid-19, GreenToGive is a Covid-related charity fundraising drive running first within Ireland and then worldwide.

We’re creating 1 million fundraising micro-events while bringing people together in a spirit of connection, solidarity and generosity.

CONNECTION, SOLIDARITY AND GENEROSITY
THE STRENGTHS & SPIRIT OF IRISHNESS

Nonprofit incomes are decimated by Covid-19, when needs are highest. GreenToGive starts by organising fundraising micro-events for nonprofits here in Ireland.

We will crowdsource ideas for these, during the Pilot.

We will then expand to help the Global Irish fundraise for charities local to them, in a spirit of Connection, Solidarity & Generosity.

THE PILOT PROGRAM
DISCOVERING WHAT WORKS & SCALES

The purpose of the pilot is to figure out what works most easily, and what microevents are most fun, compelling, viral, and successful (funds raised).

The Pilot will begin in Cork City, and in Ballina, Co. Mayo in early May 2021, and will later be extended to their Twin Cities and onwards to the wider Irish world.

Volunteers are needed to help, in simple & low-involvement ways, to make all this happen.
